“Can any one of you by worrying
add a single hour to your life?”
Do you ever struggle with God? You can keep trying to live according to your own ideas. You will cause yourself a lot of heart ache along the way until you feel frustrated enough to cry out to God. Or, you can choose to listen to God now and live according to His leading and guiding. Either way, in the end, God will win.
Has anyone ever said to you, “Don’t worry about it?” Does that help you? But when God tells you not to worry, it should make a difference.
God is the One who created everything. He laid the earth’s foundation. He fixed the limits for the oceans. He brings the constellations in their seasons. He feeds the birds and causes the flowers to grow.
Understanding Who it is that is speaking to you is what makes the difference.
God is the One who created you. He knows you better than you know yourself. He has a good purpose for your life. Go to Him. Learn from Him. Follow Him. Your life will transform in wonderful ways!
Worrying negatively affects your entire being, body, mind and soul. It does not accomplish anything good.
Keep yourself busy and active. If you don’t have enough things to do, volunteer. You’ll be too busy with productive activity in the day and too tired at night to worry!
You cannot control circumstances. You can control how you deal with circumstances. Draw close to God. Speak to Him. Listen to Him. Read the Bible. Meet with other believers. As you get to know God better, you will trust in His goodness, His grace and His greatness. Replace negative thoughts with thoughts about God.
Isn’t it funny how little time we spend thanking God for what we do have and how much time we spend complaining and asking Him for things? This week, spend time each day thanking God.
One square mile of fog contains less than one gallon of water. The fog in your life amounts to almost nothing. Rely on God instead of relying on yourself. Don’t miss the great things He wants to do in you and with you because you are focusing somewhere else. You will have problems in life because you have life.
Get to know the Lord and see that He is trustworthy. Follow Him and truly live!
