WHO WE ARE

Picture

The Massapequa Park Church of the Nazarene is a MULTIGENERATIONAL CHURCH that is committed to making Christlike disciples in the nations. Our music style is a modern contemporary worship, with throwbacks to our gospel history.

We have been serving our community of Nassau County for more than 50 years and believe the LORD wants to do great things here.

We are committed to building the Kingdom of God on Long Island and that means we reach out to all people.
Besides reaching out, we also long to teach people how to love god and love others wholly.

God loves you just as you are, but loves you way too much to let you stay that way!  This is what we mean we say we are a holiness church. Our hope is that you get a chance to get to know us and see what Jesus is doing here.

Rev. Eddie Brown

Senior Pastor

Pastor Eddie, along with his wife Alisa and their 4 kids, have recently moved into our community to take lead of our church. Eddie grew up in Brooklyn, NY and came to faith after graduating high school. Since 1998, he has worked in full time missions and served with several churches in Oregon and Pennsylvania.
He completed his Masters work with George Fox Evangelical Seminary and has a passion to lead healthy congregations in the pursuit of loving God and loving others. When he finds some free time, he enjoys going for runs, playing with his kids, and watching football. Ultimately, Pastor Eddie wants people checking out this site to know that we care about you, and what God wants to do in your life.

Adminstrative Assitant

Christine C.
I was raised as a devote Catholic most of my life until I was introduced to MPK Church about 5 years ago.  I fell in love with the warmth and personalization of the congregation, and I have since become a regular attender.  Recently, I have been searching for ways to serve within the church. One day in speaking with Pastor Eddie, he mentioned a need for administrative assistance for the church office and I knew God was calling me.  Administrative work is my gifting and I never imagined that I would be able to use my skills to serve God and my church however, when the opportunity presented itself, I was more than happy to take on the role.  It is an honor to serve both God and our church, and I look forward to working with everyone to continue to strengthen our church together.

Nazarene Family

The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian church in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. Organized in 1908, the denomination is now home to about 2.5 million members worshipping in more than 30,000 local congregations in 162 world areas.
  • We believe in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
  • We believe that man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.
  • We believe that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.
  • We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
  • We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
  • We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
